dimitriscoParticipantHi,
I recently purchased x theme (v.4.6.0). Although I have validated the theme, Cornerstone’s home page says it is not validated! Furthermore, I am trying to install x-child.zip and I get a message“Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
This theme requires a parent theme. Checking if it is installed…
The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, x, before you can use this child theme.
Theme installed successfully.
After that, the x-child theme is not present in the “Themes” page in WordPress admin. I have read almost all relative posts in the forum and I think that I have done everything right! Is it the Cornerstone invalidation message that doesn’t allow the installation? I appreciate your help!

RupokMemberHi there,
It sounds X is not installed and validated properly or the folder name x has been changed. If you can’t figure out the issue, Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

RupokMemberHi Dimitris,
Thanks for writing back with the credentials. As I suspected, the theme is within wrong folder. It should be within /wp-content/themes/x/ but you have placed it within /wp-content/themes/x/x/. That is you have extra folder x.
Kindly fix this to get expected result.
Cheers!

dimitriscoParticipantSometimes it seems than although you think everything has been done according to guidelines, you miss some crucial details that make the difference! That’s almost always the case…
Thank you very much for your help, everything is OK now!
PS: For future readers having the same problem: Just rename the excess folder into something else, then transfer the x folder (containing the theme files) into the themes directory of your WordPress installation and then delete the renamed folder from your server. When logged in to WordPress admin, remember to activate the correct theme, because WordPress will probably be hooked to the previous activated -and now deleted- theme. If you need the x-child theme, now it is possible to activate!
