    Hello there,

    I have a wordpress multisite setup. All my sites were working perfectly and I was able to access all the sites including the “Network Admin”, when hovering over “MySites” on the dashboard toolbar. However, I couldn’t access the “Network Admin” when I changed my wordpress username in to a new one.

    I tried to figure out the error and unfortunately everything started back to work fine, once again, when I changed the username back to the previous one. There should be some setups/changes needed to be done to the X theme when changing the username, in order to have everything working properly. Can you please fix it?

    Hey there,

    Sorry but I’m confused or the issue is unclear. Could you give more details by what you mean by:

    There should be some setups/changes needed to be done to the X theme when changing the username, in order to have everything working properly.

    To be sure this is an issue with X, please deactivate it and check if the issue persist. Or, give us the detailed process to replicate the issue.

    Thanks for the quick response and sorry for the confusion.

    Let me try to express what is happening:

    1st. I changed my WordPress username that I had since the beginning of uploading X-theme in to a new one.
    2nd. I couldn’t access “Network Admin” on the dashboard, after I changed the username. Here, everything was working perfectly before the change made.
    3rd. So, I changed the new username back to the previous one.
    4th. Hence, everything started working perfectly once I get back to my previous username.

    I deactivate the x-theme and tried to check it with the Twenty Sixteen but the issue is still not solved. But I believe this shows that the error is due to both the X-theme and the default theme, it doesn’t necessarily mean its not due to the x-theme.

    I really need to change my WordPress username to a new one but I am experiencing the error I mentioned above. Can you please help me with this? Thanks again!

    Hey there,

    We’re sorry but the issue is not with X. Please contact a Multisite setup expert to change your username. Or, you can try adding a new user then set it as super admin.
