JoshuaParticipantGood day,
What file do I edit to change the meta data on the full-width featured images in Ethos?
They look the same as the data on the post slider but are controlled somewhere else.
Thanks for the help,
Josh

RupokMemberHi Josh,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

JoshuaParticipantNo problem.
Ethos has those awesome, special featured images in the archives. I’m talking about the ones that go full width instead having a featured image and the excerpt next to it.
By default, it shows something like:
Category / Date
Title
View postall on top of the featured image.
I want to change the meta info (category and date). Which file handles that stuff?

JadeModeratorHi there,
With the description you mentioned, I assume you are talking about the featured post in index pages. You could check the file _index-featured.php for that which you can find in /framework/views/ethos/.
Kindly provide us a screenshot if you mean something else. Thank you.

JoshuaParticipantThat seems like that is exactly the file I’m looking for, but editing it did nothing.
I copied the file to the child theme.
I double checked that it’s in the right folder (other files there are working fine).
I double checked that I’m editing the right file. But my edits aren’t doing anything. Even if my additions aren’t working, the stuff I deleted would be gone.

There’s a screenshot of the Ethos 1 demo with arrows pointing to the meta data I’m trying to change.
I don’t have any caching plugins and I cleared my temp files… but who knows.
