How would I go about changing the Mail Chimp message that a person gets when they are already signed up?

    Many thanks,
    Houston

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! This error message is not related to existing user. You will need to create a email list on your MailChimp account and then it will populate on X Addons -> Email Forms -> General Settings section under Opt-In New Users List.

Once you select your list, it should work.

Let us know how it goes.
    Thanks!

I guess you are not understanding my question, perhaps I am not providing enough information. When someone signs up for our mailing list on our website using the x-mailchimp plugin, if they were already signed up to receive the newsletter, that is to say we ALREADY HAVE THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS. Then I get the message that is in the attached image. I was simply asking, what file that I could find this message in so I could change it to something else.

I ended up finding it myself in the wp-content > plugins > x-email-mailchimp > email-integration > functions > shortcodes > subscribe.php. I was merely asking what file would I find this message in so I could customize it.

So now my question is will this stay there if the plugin gets updated. There is no child plugin file so how will this stay the way i want it?

    Many thanks,
    Houston

    Hi there,

Yes, it will be overwritten by plugin update. Extensions customization is not yet supported, it can’t be moved to child theme yet.

    Thanks!

OK, just I will need to update the phrase every time there is an update.
