HoustonParticipantDid I not see in a demo at one time that ability to place category buttons on the top of the index page with the Masonry layout and a load more button at the bottom of that?
Many thanks,

RupokMemberHi Houston,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

HoustonParticipantRight now the masonry layout shows all blog posts in chronological order regardless of the category that may be associated with the post. I have seen this same layout but there will be buttons at the top of the masonry layout that are the categories. (travel, food, sports, animals) so when you click on FOOD then all you see are those posts that have been assigned to the FOOD category. I could have sworn that your template, at least in Ethos version was in there.
Can this be done?
Many thanks,

LelyModeratorHello Houston,
Yes, this option is available for Ethos stack only. We can set this to ON via Appearance > Customize > Custom > Ethos > Filterable Index: ON. Each of our stack is unique in design and features. Ethos stack is developed to serve the purpose of Blog/Magazine so it has some unique blog features that’s not available for other stacks and that’s justify the term “uniqueness” of each stack.
Hope this helps.

HoustonParticipantSo I would have to change the stack of the site to ETHOS I am guess in order to have access to this feature? Is there not a fairly simple way to make modes to the function.php or alternate? I guess a better way to ask this would be what would YOU do if you were in one stack and needed this feature?
Many thanks,

LelyModeratorHello Houston,
Unfortunately, it could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer because there’s a lot code adjustment that needed to be added to achieve this on other stack. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding.
