Verbier.comParticipantHI.
My site is FR and En using wpml (well is really just used to swap over the language pages).
Anyway if I create a FR blog and forget (as I did) to give the blog a category and publish it, the theme them creates it own category while publishing, which screws up the FR pages as the FR have no idea what this new category is>??
Now the post/blog has uncategorised. Now is it right that the Theme should do that?
Shouldn’t it default to “Uncategorised as that’s what it is?I’m happy if it goes Uncategorised and doesn’t show on the website, as we have 5 different categorise that the posts have to be in>?..
But creating it’s own category and adding a-FR to the post is just not right (well if you don’t want it to kill the FR home page)
I know have no blogs showing since I forgot to assign it to a category??http://verbier.cms2cms.com/fr/ (look at the Blogs (they have all gone)
Click view all ”
Nothing to Show Right NowIt appears whatever you were looking for is no longer here or perhaps wasn’t here to begin with. You might want to try starting over from the homepage to see if you can find what you’re after from there.
”Go to the Fr blog page http://verbier.cms2cms.com/fr/category/blogs-fr/

Please set ‘Default Post Category’ under Settings -> Writing.
Hope it helps.

Verbier.comParticipantHi,
Checked that thanks, but the issue is if you post in French. As there French categories are spelt different to English. So setting the default to “English” “Uncategorised” Category, screws up a French post as that word is not a French category.
If that makes sense
ignore the above found a way to do it on the fr pages.
Thanks

LelyModeratorHi There,
Thank you for the credentials. Regretfully, this particular issue is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your site setup. I can see that you do have a lot of content. For us to check your site we need to assess your database which is really outside the scope of our support. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself. If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
Just to make sure that the developer is not ripping you off, you may ask a detailed list of the issues. Then you may contact a second developer to verify those information.Thank you for your understanding.

ChristianModeratorSorry but we have no control over their response time. If you’re have tight deadline, you might want to consider hiring from sites like Upwork.
Thanks.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Hard to tell if it is scam.
Sincerely if your site is already presenting a lot of problems if I was on the place of the person you are hiring I would also suggest to start from zero.
I feel really sorry for your situation but fixing something that is broken can be way more complex than building from zero.
I am not sure how complex are your requirements and I personally find that 4000 is a lot of money. I guess you should organize well what you need on your website in a document and quote it with 3 or 4 different developers.
As my colleagues recommended you also can try Upwork, you will be able to read the review of the people who apply for the job have a chat with them, choose to pay by project or hourly, it is all up to you.
Let us know your thoughts,
Joao

Verbier.comParticipantI would still like someone from Theme.co to have a look, be it a 30 minute scout around if possible
