As the title says, is it not possible to use cornerstone on a blog/posts page-page?
May 30, 2015 at 1:15 am #286544Hi There,
Thanks for writing in! Navigate to Settings > Cornerstone, there’s an option there that lets you allow post, page and portfolio to open with CS.
Hope it helps. Cheers!
June 18, 2015 at 6:00 am #305893This enables cornersone on the portfolio page… but unless I’m missing something, this still does not enable cornerstone on the Blog postspage.
I’m also trying to enable cornerstone on my posts page. As it seems that this is the only page that correctly displays the post media.

Thanks for writing in!
If you are referring to All Posts > Add New post page, would you mind providing us with your WordPress login credentials so that we can take a closer look to the issue? Don’t forget to select Set as private reply to ensure your data remains hidden from other users.
Thanks!
June 18, 2015 at 12:15 pm #306248I believe OP was referring to customizing the blog page. Not the individual posts.
Apparently this is not able to be done due to the fact that the posts page (defined in Settings > Reading ) is using a special template.
It would be amazing if there were a way to keep the functionality of the blog post page as well as use cornerstone.
Essentially this is just another approach that users are trying in hopes that we can use the code that is rendering the video/gallery/audio ‘thumbnails’ anywhere else in the theme.
This would also be fixed by expanding the functionality of the ‘recent posts’ widget to properly display the media instead of just the featured image.

Yup, that would be cool. But that is not possible for now, as you already know blog page is using an special template. We certainly appreciate the feedback though!
Cheers!
August 3, 2015 at 7:56 pm #349080Is there a way to make the page for all the posts to be editable?
August 3, 2015 at 11:43 pm #349221Hi @kirsch1391
Thanks for updating! When you select a page to display the posts (that is Blog Page), the page will display the posts only. No other content will show up there. So you don’t need to edit the page anymore.
If you wish you can use other template as blog page (don’t select it as blog page from Settings > Reading) and use the recent post shortcode (http://theme.co/x/demo/integrity/1/shortcodes/recent-posts/) to display some posts with your other contents that is editable.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
