jaysoucyParticipantHi!
Just to let you guys know that I have tried to update X Theme twice and that it completely destroyed my Website the two times I’ve tried it.So now I have restored my Website with the older version of X Theme but Cornerstone does not work properly even though I have updated cornerstone.
Is there something to do about this situation?
Thanks a lot!
P.S.
I love Cornerstone.April 26, 2016 at 2:03 pm #900829
DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! Do you have a staging site where we can reproduce those issues? So that we can assist you accordingly.
You can even duplicate your live site and create a staging environment (https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration/) with our new validation feature (https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/).
Let us know.
Thanks!April 26, 2016 at 3:14 pm #900926

RadModeratorHi there,
Thanks for this information.
What we’re referring to staging site is a separate one, a clone of your main site for testing. Some site has to stage feature on its own, but it’s just the same copy as the live one. Because when you turn off staging site, it’s the same copy that will go live. It’s like a concept of under maintenance feature, once the staging is on, the live one can’t be used. I recommend doing the staging in a separate clone of your site.
But, the main reason why your cornerstone isn’t working is due to CloudFlare’s Rocket loader. The scripts are turned into this type=”text/rocketscript” instead of the default one ( text/javascript ). Because of this, scripts are loaded in incorrect order, especially scripts that are dependent to libraries. Please disable Rocket loader from your CloudFlare.
Thanks!

BrianParticipantHi, I’m running x-theme 4.3.0. my wp dashboard says that I can update to 4.4.2. It asks me to click the link to Validate X to enable automatic updates. I do this and get a new page that says Congratulations it succeeded. Then I go back to the dashboard and click to update X and get an error message saying:
“The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.
Enabling Maintenance mode…
Updating Theme X (1/1)
An error occurred while updating X: X is not validated. Validate X to enable automatic updates
Disabling Maintenance mode…All updates have been completed.”
I’m hoping to get this updated because X-theme is not allowing changes to be made in cornerstone and I hope this solves the issue.
Thanks for your help.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation (https://s3.amazonaws.com/community-themeco/app/uploads/2016/04/17110514/Capture53.jpg).
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license.
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again. And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Hope it helps.

JoaoModeratorHi There,
I believe that if your domain address was always correct that should not be an issue.
Please try performing a manual update as recommended above by Christopher.
1. Temporary disable any caching plugins and purge all your server cache.
2. Delete both X theme (/wp-content/themes/x) and Cornerstone plugin (/wp-content/plugins/cornerstone) by connecting to your FTP (your settings will be saved in the database)
3. Download the latest copy of X and upload it to your themes folder via FTP OR you can upload the x.zip via Appearance -> Themes section.
4. Latest version of Cornerstone will be installed automatically when you head over X Addons section. Now you try validating your X theme again and then try to install any other extension and it should function properly.
You won´t use a API key to register your website anylonger, now you simply paste your Envato purchase code.
If you have any questions about the registration process please read the first answer given by Christopher above.
Let us know if you have any questions,
Thanks,
Joao

JoaoModeratorHi There,
That won´t be a problem.
Simply updload your new version of X and register it according to the instructions above provided.
In case you are using a Child theme also please have a look at this thread:
https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/child-theme-updates/
Hope that helps
