fmawebParticipantI updated my wordpress to 4.5.3 and I updated X theme to version 4.6.0. I cannot see the prompt in the x extensions area to update visual composer (which I could on my previous 2 other site updates). When updating X to 4.6.0 the visual composer editor breaks and you need the latest version which is 4.12.

fmawebParticipantMy workaround was this:
Since I could not see the prompt to update to the latest version of VC in the X extensions area I used the wordpress update section and added the following code to my wp-config.php.
define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’);
The above code needs to be used if your site is not setup or allowed to do direct installations of plugins.

nr59ParticipantHello there!
I have the same problem! I’ve put the define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’); code in the wp-config file direct under define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”); But i don’t see anything to update in my dashboard updates or in the X addons or in the plugins section. My wordpress version is 4.5.3 and my X version 4.6.0
My VC version is 4.7.4 at the moment, and i want to update to 4.12.
Any suggestions please?
thanks in advance! 😉

RadModeratorHi there,
Looks like your host is blocking connections to external servers. As for our server, you can whitelist our IPs from this thread https://community.theme.co/forums/topic/my-license-will-not-validate/ And you may contact your hosting provider for that process.
Thanks!
