seaspiritParticipantHi All,
1st day with X theme today – spent most of the day trying to work out why I couldn’t upload it to my host. Turned out it was too large a file, so I had to get filezilla and upload it via FTP. All seems fine but I go to demonstrations as per the helpful advice says. I don’t get ‘agency’ as an option – just ‘expanded demos’ or ‘standard demos’. I cant actually click on either so I go down to ‘set up demo content’ and it just takes me to a blank page?!?! The web page it takes me to is http://thinkprivatecare.com/wp-admin/admin.php (thinkprivatecare is the web site), but there is nothing there. Am I missing something?
Many thanks,
MichaelJanuary 8, 2017 at 2:42 pm #1321384

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please contact your webhost. Here is a form letter you may use:
Hello [provider], My WordPress installation is having a hard time making outbound HTTP requests. I’m using X theme and it makes a request to community.theme.co for setting up automatic updates. Here is the error message I’m receiving: [screenshot, or copy/paste the verbose error message (see above regarding the &x-verbose flag)] Could you please do the following? – Ensure my site can reach this domain: community.theme.co – Ensure cURL is working, and allow_url_fopen is enabled. – Ensure PHP is configured with the latest CA Root Certificates. – Check into the error message above. Please advise on anything you discover. Thank you.Let us know how it goes.
