dbonnevilleParticipantI have followed all the links in circles about where and how to generate a new API key. I updated a production site, so the URL changed, and I want to get the API reattached so I can update things.
Where is this? I literally have gone in circles and none of the searches using the site help pointed to the right place, and the install says “click here for info on the API” but leads nowhere helpful!
Help!
Thanks

dbonnevilleParticipantOk, so after much reading on old threads, I found I can use the purchase key as the api key. I did that, and it took it.
I immediately went to Themes and tried to update X but it said i needed to validate it. Didn’t I just do that?
So, the question now is how do I validate the…purchase key…agains the domain?
It let me update Cornerstone, so that part is done. But Theme X is still on 4.3.4 and the theme info page says I’m not validated, though the purchase key matches the domain in my control panel.
Now what?
Thanks!

dbonnevilleParticipantIt says I’m validated, and that I can install plugins, etc. I see this:

dbonnevilleParticipantI changed the site from site.com to http://site.com in the Licenses area, and then checked the template again. It allowed me this time to update it so I’m all set. Does it really have to say http:// before the site name on the licenses page, or what it a matter of time for the database to update? I’d like to know for future reference.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! http:// shouldn’t matter so I guess there was any other issue if it was new site.
Let us know if you face this again or any other issue.
Cheers!
