    I purchased and installed X Theme on a client’s WordPress site about a year ago. The theme is still version 4.0.6 for that WordPress installation. Updating to the latest version of X Theme is not working. The update fails and asks for an API key. After logging into the theme.co website, I see no option to generate an API key. The registration help article mentions that the API Key was the “old method” of registering. Since I am stuck with the old version of the plugin, it doesn’t honor the new way. The following message displays when I try to update the theme:

    An error occurred while updating X: X is not validated. Validate X to enable automatic updates

    Please help. Thank you.

    You have the option to manually update X. To do so please walk-through following tutorial and scroll down to manual updates section.
