    I’m getting the following message bounced back by WordPress when I try to install the x-child theme;

    “The parent theme could not be found. You will need to install the parent theme, x, before you can use this child theme.”

    I just bought this theme, so I’ll assume it’s the latest version. I follwed the instructions, which are fairy standard for most themes, but there’s no further information detailing what to in the event this particular situation arises.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

    Changed it.

    WOrdpress installed X theme to x/x/ in the wp-content-themes directoy. Renaming the first “x” directory to “x.2” then moving the second “x” directory to “wp-content/themes” fixed the issue and the child theme was able to install correctly.

    Thanks.

    Hi There,

    Glad you sorted things out, you might want to delete the x.2 folder to avoid any conflict.

    Thanks.
