    The title shows however, the images do not.

    Hi There,

    That’s the default recent posts widget of WordPress so it will not show the featured images.

    Please try adding the following shortcode to the text widget intstead:

    [recent_posts count="4" orientation="vertical"]

    I added the code into the text box however, once updated, all that displays is the code, not the images or copy.
