belwParticipantHi folks
I was successfully using the Under Construction page – ljbaptist.com.au. I switched the site back on live last evening and have built in a temporary non X splash page that gives the option of heading to the site whilst still under maintenance/refresh. (I don’t like to keep the site down for too long).
So, the site is not fully refreshed, but people still able to access some of the work that has been done. Is there a way to have the “Under Construction” Add On varied to still be at the front end for viewers to the web site, but provide the option to proceed in spite of the maintenance / refresh work being done? I would much prefer to do this in X rather than have an additional plugin for that purpose.
I am not a code cutter of any sort so this would need to be really easy for me to follow 🙂
Cheers

RadModeratorHi Wayne,
Thanks for writing in.
Unfortunately, X under construction extension has no feature like this. It’s a site wide maintenance notice. But there are plugins that can offer the same functionality.
If I understand it correctly, you wish your home page to have under construction notice but have a button to proceed to site’s next page. You don’ t need a plugin for that, you can simply create a dummy home page and set it as your homepage, then add a button that will link to your real page.
Thanks!
