shapesdesignParticipantHi
After a recent X Theme and WordPress update (we’re running the latest upgrades of both), our button info content text (set to trigger on hover) is now appearing below adjacent pictures, rather than overlapping them as before. Can you help? In case you need to know, we built our site pre-Cornerstone, so we use the backend editor to edit it.
Regards, Matt

LelyModeratorHello There,
Thank you for the credentials.
It seems that Visual Composer doesn’t update all the files. See attached file of latest Visual Composer button settings. It seems different on your settings. Would you mind deleting the current visual composer plugin folder (js_composer)via FTP on this folder wp-content/plugins/. Then try reinstalling it again via Addons. Please note to backup your site or do this first on a staging server.Hope this helps.

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Visual composer comes bundled in x and it doesn’t require activation as long as x is active.
So please ignore the notification.Thanks.

shapesdesignParticipantHi there
As suggested, I backed up our site, deleted the WP Visual Composer plugin and reinstalled in via the Addons, however the pop ups are still presenting themselves behind the images, not in front.
Do you have any other ideas how we can rectify this issue?
Many thanks,
Amanda

RupokMemberHi there,
I can see there is not enough space on the bottom on that section/content-band to display the popover. Surely it won’t show over another content-band. So let’s create some spacing by setting padding-bottom for the content band.
Hope this makes sense.
Cheers!

shapesdesignParticipantHi Rupok
The popover has always displayed correctly over another content band, regardless of what was underneath it (pictures or text). It has only stopped working on a recent update to the X theme. Not sure why it worked previously and now it is not working. Any other ideas, other than increasing the spacing on the content bands, as changing the layout might make the site look odd on a mobile device?
All the best,
Amanda

Rue NelModeratorHey Amanda,
Are you using CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache? Please keep in mind that after doing every updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Please let us know how it goes.

shapesdesignParticipantHi there
I am not sing CloudFlare or any other caching plugins. I have cleared all caches from my browser, but the error still occurs. Can you see the problems your end with the popovers on the site going behind images?
I have a feeling the error we are experiencing may have something to do with Visual Composer. If this is the case, would it be worth a redesign of the site using Cornerstone?
If I do decide to develop a new site, can I use the same licence for offline development on a technical site?
All the best,
Amanda

ChristianModeratorHey Amanda,
I tried replicating this but the issue doesn’t happen on my on my test site. There might be something in your setup that causes this. Have your tried testing for a plugin conflict?
Regarding your other question, yes, it is best to use Cornerstone. And, your license now can support production and development domains. See Using Development Environments at https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/
Thanks.

shapesdesignParticipantMany thanks Christian
I’ll try and test for plugin conflicts. Is there anything that you’d suggest I can use to test conflicts.
I may very well start again, but I will still try and resolve this issue in the meantime.
All the best,
Amanda

JoaoModeratorHi There,
To test plugin conflicts you can turn off all the third party plugins you have installed and check if the problem is still there, if the problem disappears you can turn on one plugin at the time check if the problem came back, once the problem comes back you will know which plugin is causing the conflict.
Hope that helps,
Joao

shapesdesignParticipantOkay thanks. Will give it a go. Fingers crossed it’s a plugin conflict.
All the best,
Amanda
