Is there a way to put the buddypress profile link in a button. Currently, I have to display the link in a menu item.

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

    Cheers!

I’m trying to get the profile to open when i click the button vs. having to create a menu item that cant be put in a button.

    Hi again,

Use HREF field to insert the profile link in a Button element. Currently it’s set to #.

    Hope this helps!

How do I get it to show the profile of the member who’s currently logged in?

    Hi There,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. Showing current user profile to a page other than the default user/member page would need custom coding. You may just opt to link to the member pages instead. This link might help:https://buddypress.org/support/topic/logged-in-user-profile-link-url/

You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this if you don’t want just the link. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!
