fciuciuParticipantHi,
I want to add a custom feature to my website (onethingalone.com) that requires Bootstrap, jQuery and some custom js & css code. So I’ll need to include the following files (bootstrap.min.css,bootstrap.min.js,js.cookie.js) plus the custom HTML, js and css.
Where should I place all this new code in the child x-theme? I want to make sure that I’m following the best practices to do this integration. Please help.
Thank you,
Flaviu

FriechModeratorHi Flaviu,
Thanks for writing in. Some of X theme core files are based from bootstrap and compiled as customized version for X theme only. Adding another set of bootstrap files could cause conflict and we do not offer support for integrating this.
Though, if you’re familiar with boostrap then you can proceed integrating it. If not, you should contact a developer to help you with this.
Thanks for understanding.

fciuciuParticipantWhere can I put the .js files so that they don’t get overwritten next time I update the child theme?

Prasant RaiModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! The quickest and easiest way to do this is to add it via the Custom section of the Customizer, but that is really best for things you aren’t changing or editing a lot (i.e. Google Analytics). If you need to implement something a little more robust, this this post should help you out.
Thanks.
