LeannaParticipantHow can I correct this? I’ve just made a new blog post and published it, it’s live and working fine but when I paste the URL into Facebook I get “Page not found” I tried all sorts of URL configs (www., http://www, etc to no avail. Pasting my website url or another blog post into facebook works fine, just it seems to have an issue with this particular post. The post in question is

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in! I have tried the first time and I replicated the 404 Page not found issue. I then try to use the Facebook debugger and still see the same issue. There is a scrape button and then when I hit the button, the page is showing correctly. Please test your page here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/?q=http%3A%2F%2Fleannacinquanta.com%2Fsupersonic-jet-learned-wait%2F
This issue could be Facebook index and caching related issue because after I hit the “Scrape Again”, it is already displaying.

Hope this explains it.

LeannaParticipantOk it’s working now, thanks… pulling the title and image but not the first few lines of text, instead it’s pulling text from the website.
For proper FB posting from now on, shouldn’t I add this code into the posts in the future? How….?Share App ID Missing
The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.October 2, 2016 at 2:37 am #1199076
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for the updates! Since you are using Yoast SEO plugin, please supply the Facebook App ID by going to SEO > Social > Facebook. For more details, please check this out: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/gaining-access-to-facebook-insights/

LeannaParticipantFacebook Yoast SEO metadata is already enabled… so evidently it didn’t do anything positive. Any other ideas?

RadModeratorHi there,
I checked the source and there is no app_ID, would you mind double checking it? I can’t confirm it since I can’t login with incorrect username.
Please check this https://kb.yoast.com/kb/warning-fb-app-id-hasnt-been-included-in-the-meta-tags/ too.
Thanks!
