AndreiParticipantHi,
I have created a blog page and a post. I have added the post to a category named “Fashion tips”. Both are published. When I click the blog link in the menu or the Fashion tips sub-menu I get a blank page.
My website is //sinestezic.com
If I write the link of the post in the navbar, the post works: https://sinestezic.com/how-to-wear-white/
The address of the blog is https://sinestezic.com/blog
Thank you,

RupokMemberHi Andrei,
Not sure why this happening. I can see the menu item “Blog” linked to trashed page. Perhaps the page is not right or something causing from your Child Theme. Let’s switch to X from Child Theme and check again. If you see the issue gone, you will know that the issue is with your Child Theme.
Let us know what you find.
Cheers!

LelyModeratorHello Andrei,
Please double check above credentials. I got this error:
ERROR: The username or password you entered is incorrect.
Then also provide FTP credentials so we can check directly which files was causing the issue.November 10, 2016 at 2:43 am #1251367

RadModeratorHi there,
There is no customization and no fatal error recorded, is it okay if I switch it to parent theme and disable all plugins? Please do backup your site first. Any change by testing it may break it.
Thanks!

AndreiParticipantHi Rad,
I think it is ok. I hope it will not break anything. I did the backup.

AndreiParticipantI really want to make the blog work because this is part of our future development. Thank you.

RadModeratorHi there,
It’s okay now, but I’m not sure why it happens. It’s due to the child theme and it works when it’s disabled. The one causing it is the index.php under /views/global/. The index.php has no content, I uploaded a new one but it again becomes empty. There something on your system, or it could be just cache.
I disabled it from the last time I checked it and it doesn’t take effect instantly, could be due to cache.
Thanks!

AndreiParticipantHi Rad,
Thank you for your reply. How can I solve this cache problem?
November 11, 2016 at 3:19 am #1253033
Rue NelModeratorHello There,
There maybe a caching feature in your hosting cpanel. Please find that out. And if you are CloudFlare or may have installed a caching plugin like WordFence, W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.
Hope this helps.

AndreiParticipantHi Rue Nel,
I had W3 total cache installed but I uninstalled it because I wanted to make some more development and I know that w3 total cache and development don’t go hand in hand. I looked for any caching feature in the cpanel and I can’t see any. I have wordfence, but I don’t see any caching feature at this plugin. I acts as a firewall. So I really don’t know what the problem is.

AndreiParticipantNow I can’t see the “read more” from the excerpt.
