core365ParticipantHi, I’m currently working on a website and can’t figure out how to get the page title ‘Blog’ to show on the blog page! I’ve managed to get it to show on the subsequent pages when you click on a post to read more, but can’t do it for the main blog page.
Stack used: Renew

core365ParticipantHi, I’ve already changed the Blog Title to say ‘Blog’ but it’s not showing on the main Blog page!

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
It seems that you haven’t setup your Blog page correctly. Head over to Settings -> Reading section within your WordPress backend and then select the option A static page. From the below options there, you can select your homepage and your blog page. Save the changes and see if that helps.
Thanks!

core365ParticipantI did that from the start. As far as I can see I’ve set everything up correctly, which is why I’ve had to contact yourselves as it looks like a glitch that shouldn’t be happening.
Cheers

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. It sounds unusual and we can check your setup if you want. Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.

RadModeratorHi there,
You should add posts first at Admin > Posts, I added a sample one but you may delete it later.
As for the title of the b log, you have to enable breadcrumbs at Admin > Appearance > Customizer > Header > MISCELLANEOUS > Breadcrumbs, but it’s not working. It should be like this http://demo.theme.co/renew-1/blog/
Would you mind providing your FTP login credentials as well?
Thanks!

core365ParticipantHi, I don’t want the breadcrumbs to show on there. I don’t understand why the page title can’t just display on the page! I’ve managed to do it through using CSS on this page: http://outreachacts.org/2017/01/06/hello/ I just need to do the same for the main blog page!
Cheers

This is to ensure that we can provide you with a tailored answer to your situation. Once you have provided us with your URL, we will be happy to assist you with everything.
To do this, you can make a post with the following info:

Thank you.

RadModeratorHi there,
It’s part of the stack design, other stacks like integrity have the blog title outside the breadcrumbs. Please provide your FTP login credentials as requested. We first need to find why it’s not even displaying.
Thanks!

core365ParticipantHi, we’re not comfortable giving out our FTP details. I can’t understand why the blog page title isn’t included in this stack! I wasn’t aware it was a feature only included on specific stacks. Isn’t there a way around it like using CSS as I have done on the subsequent post page – I just can’t figure out how to do it that way on the main blog page.
Cheers

ChristianModeratorRenew has a Blog Title option but it’s part of the header landmark which houses the breadcrumbs (see attachment). If you’ve turned on the Breadcrumbs and it isn’t showing, you most probably have modified some template files. Please remove all customizations and check again.
Thanks.

core365ParticipantBut the thing is, I don’t want to use the breadcrumbs! Again, I can’t understand why a page title can’t appear without the use of breadcrumbs!
Cheers
