Hi, I’ve been scouring the documentation & browsed several threads to try and find an answer to this but I can’t seem to find a solution 🙁
I’m trying to get the gallery post format functioning. So far I have added 4 images from the media library and selected the gallery post type but when I visit the blog page nothing pulls through.
I have also tried: disabling all plugins, removing all custom code & adding the images as a gallery but nothing has worked.

Hi,
You need to attached the image to your post by uploading the image when your are editing the post.

or you can use this third party plugin to attached existing images in your media library to your post.

No need to insert those images in your posts.
With regards to audio type, you can use either three mp3, oga or embed.
