octomediaParticipantHi guys
site – http://www.insideretaillive.com/
Our background video only works on certain computers (all are running the same instance of chrome and Firefox) sometimes it just shows a black screen, other times it works. We’ve tested on 4 computers. 50% of the time the video doesn’t show.
Any idea why? It should show behind the slider – and on the slider we’ve put a transparent repeatable background to make the video appear darker.
If I loop the slider and add the video in the actual slider this kind of works, but the loop quality is poor and the background native to X seems more reliable, loads quicker and loops better.May 31, 2016 at 1:27 am #1017595

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
I checked your site on different browsers and background video was displaying fine. The issue you are experiencing could be due to slow internet connection. Please let us know how we can replicate the issue?
Thanks.

octomediaParticipantHi,
I’m not sure I can send you screenshots etc… but it’s still not working, it’s not a slow internet connection as we’re running 50 computers on it, 50% see the video, the other 50% don’t. I’ve tested on 10 computers now.
Have you tried on multiple machines?May 31, 2016 at 6:18 pm #1018992
John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for updating the thread! I’m another support staff checking on this thread and checking from another country. I have checked three computers here in my network and am not able to replicate your issue. This may be unique to your situation or current setup there in your network.
Upon checking your site on my end the background video load fine and fast. It will be difficult to troubleshoot an issue we are not able to see. If you can find a way to reproduce the issue consistently then we might be able to assist further. Thanks!

octomediaParticipantHey guys,
Yeah in the end I just used revolution slider, and created a continuos loop – rather than the background video option in X theme, this solved the issue in the most reliable way.

ChristopherModeratorGlad we could help you with this.
