MikeelParticipantI’m trying to get the background video on the homepage to autoplay. It was doing this a few weeks ago but has stopped for some reason. Any thoughts? Hope you can help!

ChristianModeratorHey Mikeel,
Please try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Thanks.

MikeelParticipantThanks, Christian.
I’ve changed background video from YouTube to self-hosted so that works fine now. It doesn’t appear to be mobile-responsive however. Is there a way to amend this?
Thanks

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
For mobile, videos are playable only by user interactions, maybe to avoid additional charges since videos are bandwidth hungry.
And user can’t interact to background videos, which using background video poster is a good thing for mobiles.
Hope it helps.
