itsbobrossParticipantHi, I recently switched my x theme stack from ethos to renew, creating a layout that has a background image.
The problem is that I have many other pages on my site (sales pages mostly) created by another plugin (optimizepress 2.0) and all of them now have the background image which make them look ridiculous. I can’t change them in the plugin because it’s all overwritten by X theme.
The support ticket from the landing page plugin reply was this:
OptimizePress Support Team (OptimizePress Support)
Jan 24, 02:00 GMTHi Jake,
Unfortunately, in cases like this I’m afraid there isn’t anything further we can do from our side to help with this issue – where issues are caused by third-party theme code we ask that you contact the theme author as for further help (they are best placed to help as they know their code better than we do). You can demonstrate to them that if they switch your site to a default WordPress theme (e.g. TwentyThirteen) you can see the issue is no longer present.
These issues normally occur because the theme developer has not properly enqueued (loaded) theme scripts or javascripts into WordPress in the standards compliant way which means we cannot block them from rendering in the LiveEditor and affecting our editor.
Any solution to how I can exclude certian pages from having the x theme background image on?

itsbobrossParticipantSure thanks.
This is my site with the correct background image and layout: https://www.screencast.com/t/zwi8R6f3gUua
This is an example of one of my sales pages (correctly displayed): https://www.screencast.com/t/bVOfvQEebkJ
This is what happens to my sales pages though:

JoaoModeratorHi There,
Please provide your wp admin credentials, it is possible that the theme builder of Optmize Press.
May I ask what is the main reason you want to use Optmize press on top of X? I have used Optmize press inclusive I have a couple of their licenses on my personal account, but I could not find anything on Optmize Press that I could not build with X and Cornerstone without the need of their plugin? What is the best advantage you have when building landing pages with their plugin? I am just curious and we may be able to suggest work around based on that.
Cheers

itsbobrossParticipantI sent admin access via private reply thx.
I do not personally like optimizepress anymore and would much prefer to use cornerstone but:
1. I’ve got a slew of pages that would require me duplicating in cornerstone — so it’s just a pain.
2. My OP2 salespages have facebook comments at the bottom and if I ditch OP2 I’ll lose them right?

JoaoModeratorHi There,
I asked you because I have been in the same situation and I really decided to quite OM since I could not see 1 advantage over Cornerstone.
1- At the moment you need to > Save your page as a Cornerstone Template > Create a new page Apply the template. That is the only way of duplicating content.
2- You could use X Extension Facebook comment.

Let us know your toughts,

itsbobrossParticipantthanks, this is interesting.
how would I save my current OP pages as a cornerstone template though?
January 24, 2017 at 3:39 pm #1343756
JoaoModeratorHi There,
That would not work, you would need to rebuild them. I might have missunderstood you at this question before.
Well, so I would reccomend you for the future pages try to use Cornerstone, unless you see advantages in OP 🙂
For now you can color the background of each row inside OP. I have done on the first row for your reference on :
Hope it helps
