how do I make my background colour the same (all white) as opposed to having a white block and a grey background as seen in my screenshot.

HI There,

Go to Appereance > Customizer > Layout and Design > Change the background to white and remove the pattern.

The background colour is already set to these and i still come up with a wvite box and grey background as opposed to a fully white background..

That gray background that we are seeing is actually a background pattern.

Thanks that helped but now the white box is still apparent because it has some sort of shadow, how do I remove it?

Please try adding the following CSS code in your Customizer via Appearance > Customize > Custom > CSS :

.entry-wrap {
    box-shadow: none;
}
