    I get this message when trying to update x-theme. – Update Failed: Download failed. cURL error 7: couldn’t connect to host

    I get this message when trying to update cornerstone – Update Failed: Download failed. cURL error 7: couldn’t connect to host

    I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Please help. X-Theme working fine apart from that.

    I use Wealthy Affiliates to host my site. They do not allow cURL because of security issues. What are your suggestions?

    Hi there,

    Enabling cURL is important to receive automatic update. If your host doesn’t allow this option, please follow this link community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/ to update manually.

    Thanks, I updated manually. The only plugin I now have a problem with is cornerstone 1.3.2. Is it a cURL problem as well? If so where do I get the cornerstone update plugin files from so I can update manually? I can find it in the full package from TF.

    Sorry, but which plugin zip file do I use. I can’t find one called cornerstone. That is all I have to update. The Theme itself has updated fine.

    You can find cornerstone under x/framework/plugins, see the attachment.

    I downloaded the latest version of x and got the cornerstone package. Uninstalled the old version and reinstalled the new zip. Install fine and activated it. It still tells me I am using version 1.3.1. Maybe the version on Theme Forset doesn’t contain the latest update? Please advise.
