catecommParticipantI updated the site’s URL when I realized I never changed it when we switched from a subdomain (test) to the normal domain (live). But the automatic updates aren’t working. When I go to Product Validation it asks for an API key, but I can’t find that key anywhere, and manually trying to update the plugins result in an error.

RahulModeratorHey There,
The API key is the licence code you see when you login to your themeco dashboard. You can use that code on your WordPress dashboard to validate your site.
Let me know how it goes.

catecommParticipantThe only place on my dashboard I see a code is when I go under Manage Licenses, and see it in the column next to where I assign the site URL. I did that, and I get the error that says: “This site URL is not a match for your API key.” When it matches exactly how it is in the WP settings.

JoaoModeratorHello There,
Please do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.Hope this helps.

catecommParticipantI tried doing the steps as you suggest, but no luck. Some of the steps aren’t even possible, such as: In X Addons > Home there’s no place to revoke validation. It just shows the 3 steps with a Register Now button. It’s also confusing that it references an API Key, but the only code I ever see is called a License code. Regardless of the label, I use the License Code when in the X Addons > Product Validation, but then still get a site URL mismatch error.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. When you are getting URL mismatch error, it means either you haven’t assign your site to the license from Themeco account dashboard or you still have old subdomain assigned there. Kindly make sure to assign the site first from here : https://community.theme.co/users/catecomm/licenses/
Let’s review the Product Validation guide again if needed.
Let us know how it goes.

catecommParticipantThe old subdomain isn’t assigned, the new domain is.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thank you for providing the detailed information. We have updated X to the later version to try to resolve the api key issue. Yet the problem still persist.
At the moment, you have now X 4.4.2 and Cornerstone 1.2.4. I have used the license code and also encountered an error message that the license code has been assign to another site (http://prntscr.com/bpsdnr). I would recommend that you do the following:
1] Please login to your account and assign the license. You need to assign the license to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
2] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again. And please review the changes that we made on how you are going to validated your X theme because we made a big change in the process. Please check it out here: https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/

catecommParticipantI have unassigned and reassigned (now multiple times), and the site address matches exactly, but still not validating. This seems like something is wrong on the backend with Themeco and not something that I can fix by continuously un-assigning and inputting back in.
Maybe just revoke this license and give me a new one or something, because this one is obviously not working as intended.

RubinKeymasterHey There,
I’ve resolved the issue for you and you’re now all set and validated.
