dovidesignParticipantI recently went “live” with a site for a client. The X Theme and automatic updates had worked for months. Just recently, we moved the site to its official hosting location (at Bluehost), and changed the site’s URL to its official one: http://adventurerock.com.
However, it seems that automatic updates are no longer working. Both the Cornerstone plugin and the Slider Revolution plugin are now showing that new versions are available, but without the simple “update now” link.
Cornerstone is displaying this message:
There is a new version of Cornerstone available. View version 1.2.3 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin.Slider Revolution is displaying these messages:
Activate Slider Revolution for Premium Benefits. You can Enter an existing licence key or Purchase a licence key.
A new version of Slider Revolution is available.I think that there were some recent changes in Envato Market’s license terms. And I see that my support expires in 8 more days.
I did download the most recent package of X Theme v4.4.1, and I see that the newest versions of Cornerstone and Slider Revolution are down inside framework/plugins inside x.zip.
However, I thought that support was just for additional access to experts and help. I thought that I would still continue to have access to automatic updates (from WordPress admin panel).
Am I misunderstanding the license and support terms?

John EzraMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing in! No your understanding is correct. The issue you are experiencing has to do with something else. Would you mind giving us some more detail.
How was your site transferred? Is cornerstone still working with your current pages? If it isn’t there there may have been something wrong with the migration. You can review this article: https://community.theme.co/kb/cornerstone-migration/
If it is working and nothing else seems to be wrong except that it won’t update then it may have to do with some changes made with our validation process. The newest versions of now eliminate the step of needing to install cornerstone as it gets installed in the background when installing X. You may need to manually update Cornerstone once if is not updating and it should work fine after that. This is not for all cases though, in most cases it should just update fine.
The other thing is we are no longer generating API keys for validation. We are now using the license/purchase code to do the validation. You can assign the license to a URL now in your account > manage licenses section here on theme.co. You may have to revoke the current URL/validation and re-assign it. Both via manage licenses section here in your account and on your site.
Things should work after doing the above steps. Let us know how that goes. Hope this helps – thanks!

dovidesignParticipantI finally figured out how to get the automatic updates working again. Maybe this will be of help to others.
First, I tried to manually update. Both my Cornerstone and Revolution slider plugins were out of date, and I did not have access to automatic updates. Note that the sidebar of the “Addons” area of my site’s admin view DID show that my site’s license was validated.
After that manual update, the new v4.4.2 of X Theme was updated, with yet another new version of both Cornerstone and of Revolution slider plugins, and I did NOT have access to automatic updates.
I went to my account at https://community.theme.co, and revoked my site’s license, and added the URL of my site again. All seemed ok. And in the “Addons” area of my site’s admin view DID show that my site’s license was validated. But my site still did NOT have access to automatic updates.
So, I used the “Revoke validation” link in the sidebar of the “Addons” area of my site’s admin view, and then re-entered the license code in that “Addons” area. And it worked! My site now has automatic updates again.
In summary, it was not enough to revoke and re-validate from my account at https://community.theme.co. Instead, I had to do the revoke from the “Addons” area of my site, and then re-validate by entering the license key in that same “Addons” area.
Thanks!

ericofbaliParticipanti used the revoke link in addons in the site, but it hasn’t helped. I have reset the url in the theme.co account area, revoked the old url and added the license code and both addons in my site and the account page in theme.co are saying the new url is valdated, but still i am seeing the ‘automatic updates unavailable message in the plugin panes.
is there something i missed, please help

RadModeratorHi Eric,
There are many possible reasons and I like to check it directly. Would you mind providing your admin login credentials in the private reply? And please provide them in a separate thread.
Thanks!
