jlhsolutionsParticipantFor the past few updates, automatic updates have quit working. I’ve had to manually update via FTP. I figured that I should submit a ticket as something might have gotten broken. As you can see from the screenshot, it shows the new version is available, yet it doesn’t show up in the WP Updates.

Would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
– FTP credentialsDon’t forget to select Set as private reply. This ensures your information is only visible to our staff.
Thanks.

RupokMemberHi there,
Thanks for writing back. It seems you are using multi site installation. So I guess you need super admin access to access the update page since /wp-admin/network/update-core.php returning insufficient access error message.
Cheers!

jlhsolutionsParticipantI’ve granted the account Super Admin rights. You should have access to the back end now. It still doesn’t show the update for the theme.
Hoping we can get this issue resolved.

JoaoModeratorHello There,
Thanks for writing in!
Please do the following:
1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: https://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.Hope this helps.

jlhsolutionsParticipantI revoked the validation from all my sites and then reassigned my license in My Account, but auto-update still isn’t working.

RahulModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in.
You could try updating it manually. For guide, https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
After it is updated manually, please observe it until the next update if still the automatic update is not working please let us know.
Thank you so much for understanding.

jlhsolutionsParticipantVersion 4.6 just came out and I still can’t update via the WP Update tool. Is there something else I can do to make it work?

RadModeratorHi there,
X theme automatic updates is only available if X theme is active. In multi-site, updates are restricted to network admin and there is no active theme or plugins in network admin. Since there is no active theme, there are no automatic updates 🙂
You can only do manual updates on multisite. It was working before, maybe there are recent changes in WordPress core that restrict it.
Thanks!

Jeff CParticipantAfternoon guys,
I am using X theme in my multisite environment and am also unable to access automatic updates. Your response regarding network admin not being able to update themes goes contrary to what other theme houses are able to do. For example I have sites running the7 theme as well as Avada and Divi. These themes are all updatable in a multisite environment. Can you please make adjustments in your upcoming version 5 release to allow this functionality.
Thank you.
