    URL: http://consortiumcarissimi.org – latest WP & X versions

This is a little weird and the first time it’s happened on this site. I don’t have or never had an elegant themes theme installed on this website, however when I go to update Visual Composer, it’s asking for an elegant themes api. Elegant themes doesn’t even use WP Bakery’s Visual Composer plugin with their themes. I built the site over a year ago before Cornerstone, so much is done using VC. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Plugin is installed and activated through the add-in section for X. I have version 4.12 installed. Update to 4.12.1. This is the error:
An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: Before you can receive product updates, you must first authenticate your Elegant Themes subscription. To do this, you need to enter both your Elegant Themes Username and your Elegant Themes API Key into the Updates Tab in your theme and plugin settings. To locate your API Key, log in to your Elegant Themes account and navigate to the Account > API Key page. Learn more here. If you still get this message, please make sure that your Username and API Key have been entered correctly

You can update plugin automatically or manually, try both the methods and let us know how it goes!

    Hope this helps!

um, I did, or at least tried to and got this error for Elegant Themes which has NEVER been installed. I don’t see the Visual Composer plugin in the download package for me to manually install. Please advise.
