Hi X’ers. I am having a terrible time getting the Grid to work properly. Everytime I create a new grid, ALL of my grids (already existing) are replaced with the new grid. AND, to make matters worse, the Grid is inserting random pics into the site, in such a way that I cannot delete them. Here is an example of what I’m talking about; that big 4×4 grid at the bottom is supposed to be a 6×1 grid, and when I change the grid via Cornerstone, I am left with an image above the social media icons.

X Theme: 4.6.4

very Interesting. My activation page shows that the site is checked every 12 hours and yet it is v4.6.1; additionally, there is no option to upgrade from Appearance — Theme — X. I will update manually, and see if that corrects the problem, but can you help me understand why this update issue is happening?

I just checked and it’s already updated. Please update cornerstone too.
All updates are available from your admin’s dashboard menu.

Updated: I reloaded it and cornerstone is updated too, that’s weird. Please provide a video recording of The Grid’s issue.
Hello There,
To update your X theme and other bundled plugins, please make sure that you have validated X. And then go to Dashboard > Updates. You may select the theme or plugins and then hit the “Update” button.

Just curious, did you even look at the site for which I provided logins? It is clearly validated and the auto updates are not happening AND the notifications show that the site is being checked.. I was finally able to update myself, but why are my sites not auto updating DESPITE notification that they are checked every 12 hours? This is causing problems for clients.

Maybe there is a misunderstanding. Auto-updates will not auto install the updates, they are more on update notices so you could install it. We can’t make updates to be installed automatically or it will break many sites, all updates should be done in staging site, or test it first before applying to live site. All installation are done with user consent, there is no auto-install 🙂
