helloengParticipantHi
1. I just installed and activated the X extension “Facebook Comments”
2. I sucessfully wrote a few comments and was able to access the “comment moderation page” on facebook.
3. Then, on my laptop, my facebook blocked me. See images 1-3
4. on my mobile phone, I got the message in image 45. Is this F-Secure Online Scanner a legitimate Facebook application?
6. Now If I try to log in to my Facebook on laptop, I get the sequence you can see in images 1-3. So I cannot log in unless I complete this F-Secure Scanner, which I have not yet done.
7. On my phone, I can normally log in to my facebook. Please advise
Thanks.

helloengParticipantUPDATE: So after searching online, it seems that this process is indeed legit, as can be seen here:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/facebook-security/making-malware-cleanup-easier/10152050305685766/I downloaded the scanner program, it scanned, found nothing and I was able to complete the login to Facebook. Then I changed my password.
It seems that the commenting/social graph block is still enforced. When I tried to comment again, I got this error: Social Widget Comment Creation Blocked (24 hour block).
But one question remains, why does facebook think I did something bad when I activated the X facebook comments?

RadModeratorHi there,
Facebook comment extension is just a wrapper of facebook provided codes. The communication is done between your browser and their server. It just made as embed to look make it look as part of the side. It’s standalone code from them, I think it’s best to contact them why it’s being blocked? Or do your browser has malware?
This isn’t happening on my end or other users.
Thanks!

helloengParticipantAfter 24 hours, the hold is gone. Everything works.
I think it was just a ‘cautionary’ block by fb because I had not used that app before.
Solved 😉
Thanks.
