    I just installed x-theme after having difficulties customizing twentysixteen. Now all my pages which were built with visual composer are showing only part of the content and in the backend editor most of the rows, tabbed content, accordions are all empty. I had already visual composer, revolution slider and ubermenu installed.
    URL: http://new.island-cruises.org
    A good example for the output:
    URL: http://new.island-cruises.org/yacht-charter/
    Most annoying was that after switching back to my twentysixteen child, the visual composer was working again on the backend but the website was suddenly completely empty. So I switched back to x-theme and can only hope that there is a solution to this problem.

    Hi there,

    Since you’re using visual composer, for adding slider revolution use ‘revolution slider’ element. Inside text tab, you should insert slider shortcode.
    None of content bands in http://new.island-cruises.org/yacht-charter/ doesn’t have background image.

    Please clear cache, check again and if you need further assist, please provide us with screen shots.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you very much, that helped. There are still a few more bugs in VC. Since I don’t know what you did to fix it, I will come back to you after installing the child theme because I’m afraid the same will happen again.
    Best and thanks again.

    Hi there,

    You’re welcome.
    I didn’t touch anything on your site, just checked and share the result with you. I guess it was caching issue on your end.

    Let us know if you have further questions.

    Hello again. So far quite happy with the theme, installing the child theme can’t be made easier than this. However, there are 2 things I cannot get to work:
    1. I changed the front page to cornerstone and the parallax effect on the two full width pics is still not working. I already emptied several times the browser cache but to no effect.
    2. On Android mobile devices neither tabbed content nor accordions built in VC are opening. I already added this JS:
    jQuery( function($) {

    $(‘.vc_tta-tab a’).on(‘click’, function( e ){

    setTimeout( function() {
    $(‘html, body’).stop().stop();
    console.log(‘scrolling stopped’);
    }, 100 );

    });

    });

    jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
    if ( $(‘html’).hasClass(‘touchevents’) ) {
    $(‘.vc_tta.vc_general .vc_tta-panel-title > a, .vc_tta.vc_general .vc_tta-panel-title > a’).off(‘click touchstart touchend’);
    }
    });

    which I found in the forum but it does not help. Example: http://new.island-cruises.org/bareboat-catamaran-lagoon-380/

    Cheers

    Hi,

    1. I checked your homepage and I can see the parallax are working fine. May I know which browser are you using.

    See Video – http://screencast.com/t/KUKsvOjr

    2. There is a javascript error in the console that could be preventing the script from working.

    You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    Hi there,

    They will never work due to javascript error.

    Have you done some customization on this file? http://new.island-cruises.org/wp-content/themes/x/framework/js/dist/site/x-buddypress.js?ver=4.5.2

    And this one too? view-source:http://new.island-cruises.org/wp-content/plugins/automatic-responsive-tables/js/script.js?ver=13118e633dac7aa9ff458e807401609f

    Copy the codes and use this http://www.javascriptlint.com/online_lint.php to validate it.

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul, thank your for looking into the issue.

    I’ve seen the video on screencast. What browser are you using? I normally use firefox, looked additionally on chrome, I-pad (IOS I think) and on the mobile on chrome. No parallax.

    I deactivated all plugins except cornerstone, deleted cache and had a look again. No parallax

    I assume I can save the time to activate the plugins one by one and look (48 times) since it is still not working. What else could be the problem?

    Cheers

    Hi Rad, thank you as well for looking into it.
    I have to admit, that I only recently switched from a content creator to building entire web-sites. However, the first file: http://new.island-cruises.org/wp-content/themes/x/framework/js/dist/site/x-buddypress.js?ver=4.5.2 Since I just installed the child theme and the parent theme and never touched the theme editor I assume that it is not possible that I have changed something?!

    Validating it gives me 9 warning and error messages:

    • 1 x syntax error
    • 4 x warning: anonymous function does not always return a value
    • 4 x lint warning: unexpected end of line; it is ambiguous whether these lines are part of the same statement

    To be serious, I have no idea what to make out of this.

    For the second one I am sure that it was not me, but if it is possible that this file was changed before installing the x theme it is possible that it was altered. I had several people working on this web site before who built in that many bugs into the site running 2dooclean, that I scrapped the whole project and started myself from scratch with twentysixteen and now with x-theme after I was not able to customize twentysixteen to my liking.

    What I know is, that the tabbed content was running fine on 2dooclean and twentysixteen and the problems only occurred after switching to x.
    However, validating the second file gave me this error:
    1 jQuery(document).ready(function($) {
    2
    3 tableObjects = $(“”);
    4 breakpoint = ;
    =============^
    SyntaxError: syntax error
    5
    6 tableObjects.each(function () {
    7 var headers = [],
    Unfortunately I never worked with JS. I deactivated the plugin in question but to no effect. Would deleting the plugin bring the desired effect?

    Cheers

    Hi Alf,

    Did you figure this out already? I did check again your FAQ page on mobile and the accordion is working now. See attached screenshot and please confirm.

    Hello Lely, thanks for looking into the problem. It seems you found the only page with a visual composer accordion that works – I didn’t even know that this page was built with VC. Perhaps it’s working because of this: You are using outdated element, it is deprecated since version 4.6.
    However, the problem persists with all yacht charter pages eg. : http://new.island-cruises.org/lagoon-440-bareboat-charter-catamaran/ for accordion and http://new.island-cruises.org/hanse-315-bareboat-charter-yacht/ as an example for tabbed content and another 18 pages in this style.

    I already had to work a lot on every single one of these pages again after installing x-theme, since the behavior of the page wide custom CSS in VC changed that it was not possible any more to assign a different color to all h1 or h2 titles but I had to use the unique selector for every table etc. heading.
    Changing all those pages to cornerstone would be a lot of work and to be frank I didn’t really expect that I have to do this to make the website work. I actually (perhaps wrongfully) assumed since VC was coming with the theme it would work really nicely with my pages which were built with VC.
    Anyway, I’m underway for the next 8 days and I really would appreciate if someone could find a solution to these problems.
    Best

    Hello There,

    Thank you for the updates! Just several hours ago we have release the latest version of VC, X and Cornerstone plugin through automatic updates.

    Our latest versions are:
    X Theme: 4.6
    Cornerstone: 1.3
    Visual Composer: 4.12

    This release contains fixes for several issues so please do update to the latest version. After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

    You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site. If you find anything to be out of date, you can review our update guide.

    Hello there,
    thank you very much – updated everything, emptied browser cache:
    Parallax still not working at all on the home page.
    Tabbed content and accordions not opening on mobile devices except the deprecated accordion on the FAQ.

    I could imagine that Rad was closer to the root of the problem but this is only an uneducated guess. Perhaps we could find a solution if someone who had already a closer look could stay with me after I’m doing the suggested things.
    Cheers
