Hi there,

I have given an employee administrative access (through WordPress) to update my website from their own laptop. However, when they login to their account on their laptop they are unable to do anything with xtheme and can not get passed the loading page.

Hi there,

You’re using very old version of x and plugins.
You can find the latest version numbers here: (http://theme.co/changelog/) Then you can compare them to what’s installed on your site.
Please follow this link to update your theme https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/
Next disable x shortcodes plugin and visit X addons page to install cornerstone automatically.
Follow this link https://community.theme.co/kb/product-validation/ to validate your product in order to unlock automatic update and extensions.

Hi,

Thanks for your help, I managed to update everything and validate my product successfully. Now I have another problem because although X is validated Cornerstone still says it is not validated.

Hi Rodney,

When using X theme, Cornerstone is free. It comes bundled with X. It is installed automatically when you visit Addons Homepage. As long as X theme is validated, no need to validate Cornerstone.

Can you check if it is installed X on the correct folder.

It needs to be on

wp-content/themes/x

Not

wp-content/themes/x/x

or

wp-content/themes/xtheme

Once you make sure your theme is installed like that please do the following:

1] Please go to X Addons > Home and revoke the validation.
2] Please login to your account and revoke the license. https://community.theme.co/my-account/
3] After you have revoke the license, you need to re assign the license again to your site using this url: http://www.your-domain.com/. You have to make sure that url you just assign is the same as the one you have in your settings, Settings > General > Site Address
4] Go back to X Addons > Home again, and insert the license again.
