    Hi,

I am working on a website. There are multiple pages where I need to add different posts related to that page at the bottom (these are documents like whitepapers, case studies, brochures etc). Only way I found is to create different posts and then calling each single post on that page.

Now it can be varied that one page would have 3 related posts and other have only 2. I believe I can achieve this by adding a post by post id.

I have already tried recent_posts shortcode. Have also tried “the Grid”. Both of these does not provide me an ability to add post by post id.

Please let me know if I can achieve this simple thing by either a shortcode or a simple plugin. I would want to display each widget with its title, featured image and its category.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

All i need is ability to add a post to a page by post id. I should be able to add multiple widgets of different posts individually. Attached is the screenshot.

    Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities.

Reference for your custom development : https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-display-a-specific-post-in-a-page-template

    Cheers!
