borinqenParticipantWhen adding files such as PDF’s, can I do the edits in Cornerstone? I am adding some PDF documents to my page and I have done so in Cornerstone, however, when the document link uploads it shows the entire document rather than just the link. Why is that?

RahulModeratorHey There,
You can just add your pdf to Dashboard > Media and get a link to the media which you can use in your cornerstone.
If this doesn’t work, please send us your login credentials in a private reply.
Thanks

borinqenParticipantNo, I have tried that and if I just add the link from media in Cornestone this is how it looks…

FriechModeratorHi There,
Text element wont wrap your URL automatically with anchor tag, you need to wrap it manually.
e.g.
<a href="http://50.87.144.14/~thebluffs/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/4.-7-.16-Sales-Lease-Agrmnt.pdf" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Click here</a>Hope it helps, Cheers!

borinqenParticipantOne more quick question, the “home”tab that I created does not take you back to the homepage, it takes you to a 404 page cannot be found page. How can I get it to take me back to the homepage?
Tks!

ChristopherModeratorHi there,
Please edit home menu item and update its URL to homepage URL which is http://50.87.144.14/~thebluffs/.
Thanks.

borinqenParticipantOk, thank you! I just came across one more issue. I have added a button to some text that I created, however, if I add the button within the text via shortcode I don’t have the option to add an icon to the button but if I add it via the elements tab I do, except it is much further down the page and I want it inside the text box so that it is aligned. Why can’t I add an icon if I add the button within the text via shortcode? Below is the one added with the shortcode within the text and the other is by adding the button element, however, it goes down too far down the page.

borinqenParticipantYes, I see the link but what I am not able to do is add to the text box and have the icon show up.

borinqenParticipantAlso, the link you have the me for the “Home” page I am still not able to get working. It says that the home page is in the “trash” and I need to restore it, however, the only page that I added to trash was the demo one. I created a new “home” page and that is the one that I want to use, however, I am not sure where to change the link. Tks.
