jdfestaParticipantHello! Trying to add a new Favicon to NYCToursAndPhotoSafaris.com, but it’s not saving. My Mac computer won’t let me save an image as .ico, even when I use a converting tool. Any ideas?
Thanks!

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
Thanks for writing in! You could try generating a valid Favicon here (http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/)
Then upload your downloaded Favicon at your site’s media library and use it at your Customizer’s Favicon setting.
Thanks!

jdfestaParticipantHmm it’s still showing the old one. Screenshot attached of what it looks like when uploaded and my backend (don’t mind all the homepage text; to use the Customizer I have to disable all my plugins).
Thanks!

jdfestaParticipantSorry I see there were upload errors with my screenshots as they were too large. Here they are in Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1C00KaN79BlM2NOMEh0MkFDSkU

RupokMemberHi there,
I can see this favicon – http://prntscr.com/dg2wx2 and hope that’s the correct one. Note that it’s not always show on the browser after changing. Let’s try clearing cache or check from a different browser.
Cheers!

jdfestaParticipantHey Rupok,
Nope it’s the old one 🙁 The new one is attached here.
Thoughts?

RadModeratorHi there,
This is really weird, I tried all format of icon and coding, and followed this http://realfavicongenerator.net/favicon_checker?protocol=http&site=nyctoursandphotosafaris.com%2F#.WEokuOZ96Uk and it’s not displaying on chrome. Though, the tool can clearly see the icons that I added.
Please, backup your site, and please allow me to disable all plugins and even switching theme.
This is not related to adding or saving icon, because it perfectly shows within the code and developer tools. The browser is just refusing to display it for unknown reason.
Thanks!

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
I have investigated your site and it seems that the issue is not related to X. The favicon in X customizer works perfectly. I found out that there is something added in the header.

Did you have any modifications in your child theme? I was trying to check out your files and browsed the directory regretfully I could not find or locate the child theme with the given ftp access. I am not sure if I am on the correct directory. Please double check it.
Hope this helps.

jdfestaParticipantHmm I believe the only customization I’ve ever made on the child theme was this:
.text-white h2,
.text-white p,
.text-white .x-btn {
color: #fff;
}.text-white .x-btn {
border-color: #fff;
}.text-white .x-btn:hover {
opacity: 0.75;
}Is it possible to remove that text or swap out the photo links for the new image (attached)?

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! I went ahead and have investigated further.
1] I deactivated all the plugins excerpt Cornerstone.
2] I switch the theme to Twenty FifteenPlease check out the screenshot:

This is not X theme related. This must be coming from your WordPress installation. I already disabled X and Cornerstone including all the plugins and yet the icon is still displaying in the output. Perhaps you can ask your hosting provider about this icon or maybe re install WordPress.
Thank you.
