    Hello all,
I am in the process of updating x theme on a website of ours. The problem is that when the site was initially developed it was done so without including the child theme, so if I update the theme it will erase a lot of what we have with styling and such. Can anyone tell me exactly what the best steps are to accomplish this? Or am I just in for a ton of work?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi There,

It is not a ton of work 🙂

I recommend you before, backup your Customizer Settings on WP Admin > Addons.

Download the Child Theme, Install it.

Select your Child theme as your main theme on WordPress.

Go to Wp Admin > Addos and load your Customizer Settings.

    You are good to go.

    Hope that helps,

    Joao
