Hey guys I am trying to separate posts into different categories as a selection style. For example when someone wants to select one category to sort through posts, how would I be able to do that on the blog homepage?

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully this isn’t a feature offered by X. It could be possible with custom development, but this would be outside the scope of support we can offer. You may wish to consult a developer to assist you with this. X is quite extensible with child themes, so there are plenty of possibilities. Thanks for understanding. Take care!
Is there a way to add a sidebar to the blog section and show categories on the right hand side? I tried looking everywhere on the customizing option and the edit page to add a sidebar but I couldn’t find a selection.

Thanks for writing back. You need to set Content Layout wit ha sidebar from Customize > Layout and Design – http://prntscr.com/d4pqua
Then make sure to check “Use Global Content Layout” from Customize > Blog > Layout – http://prntscr.com/d4pr8q
