Hello lovely X Theme folks. I need to add Yelp as one of the social icons on the header footer along with the 4 others I now have. How can I do this?

Because this requires a template change, I’d advise that you setup a child theme. This allows you to make code changes that won’t be overwritten when an X update is released.

Find this line and add your profile URL instead of # sign:

Thanks for the info. I have installed the x child theme and it is active. Would you mind walking me through the next step? Thanks again.

Hi there,

Once you have the child theme installed and activated, login through FTP and open the functions.php file in wp-content/themes/x-child. Once you have opened that file, copy the code provided above and add it in the functions.php file. Save the file and you should be able to see the Yelp icon when you refresh the browser.
