I have added a search bar to my website in my header, but the problem is that is only search product categories. I’d like so that if someone types a product category, the products from that category appear in the search results.
How would I go about doing this?

You can have a look at Search & Filter plugin. We recommend you to please test the plugin on a test server before deploying on live website.
Please note we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts as our support policy in the sidebar states due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script.
