aricks8ParticipantIs there a simple way to effectively add the recent posts shortcode to an external website so that the recent blog posts from my x theme site show up on another website too? I know that the shortcodes won’t work on an external website, but is there code you can provide that I can use to take the recent posts from my x theme website and display this on a web page that isn’t using the x theme.
To give more detail. I created my blog using the x theme and all the x theme files are located in the blog subfolder of my website. The rest of my website is not using the x theme. I would like to display my recent blog posts on my homepage ([recent_posts count=”3″ orientation=”horizontal”]), but currently I do not know what the best way to do that is, given the fact that my homepage folder does not have the x theme files installed and so I can’t use the shortcode.

FriechModeratorHi There,
Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, this particular customization request is outside the scope of our support as this is not related to an issue with the theme and instead has to do with your customization of it. As such, you will need to investigate this particular issue on your own or seek help from a developer should you not feel comfortable making these changes yourself.
Is the External Website is also in WordPress? If so, you could use the standalone Cornerstone on that site, so it can read your
[recent_posts]shortcode.If you have any further questions about the X|theme and Cornerstone, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries.
Thank you for your understanding.
