    Hi there,

I’d like to add an extra menu option when people click on my ‘Portfolio’ text.

The menu option should appear where the current portfolio images appear – i.e. before displaying images at this page http://pinkamint.com/home/products

The new menu option should display the text ‘Cakes Toppers’

Once someone clicks on one of those it should display only those images that have been categorized i.e. click on ‘Cakes’ and it will only display images that are in the Cakes category. Similarly if you click on ‘Toppers’ I display all images in that category.

How would I build that extra menu option?

Also instead of display just the text ‘Cakes Toppers’ could I display one of the images with that category and the text? I.e if Cakes is chosen then display BOTH the text ‘Cakes’ and also one of the images?

Finally I noticed that because I am using an x-child theme that when I edit it I am using composer, not cornerstone. How can I use cornerstone to edit a child theme? Let me know if I need to post this question separately.

    pinkamint.com
    WP version 4.5.3
    X version 4.5.2
    Cornerstone version 1.2.4

    Many thanks!

    Steve

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully, at this time I am not entirely certain what it is you would like to accomplish based on the information given in your post. If you wouldn’t mind providing us with a little more clarification on what it is you’re wanting to do (a link to a similar example site would be very helpful, or perhaps some screenshots), we’ll be happy to provide you with a response once we have a better understanding of the situation.

Regarding child theme, are you saying that you’re editing a child theme using Visual Composer? Child theme files can be edited using text editor and not Visual Composer or Cornerstone. Please clarify this.
