khomikoParticipantI search for this topic and could not find it. Custom sidebar feature does not do this for me. Do I need to do it with a function or?

khomikoParticipantThe widget area shows up on the widgets page, but the custom sidebar does not show on the checkout page. Not sure if it was programmed to show up on the checkout page.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for providing the information. I have checked your site and it turns out that you do not have any custom sidebar assign for your checkout page. The sidebar is displaying in your checkout page and it is displaying the default main sidebar. You can check it here: http://prnt.sc/ds19nk
To test out the sidebar, I created a custom sidebar entitle “Checkout” and I assigned it to the checkout page (http://prntscr.com/ds1cqn). I added a sample widget and when I refresh the check out page, the custom sidebar displayed. You can check it out here: http://prnt.sc/ds1btn
I unassigned it again because your site is live. Currently it is back to displaying the default main sidebar. You can reassign it again and add your desired widgets for the check out page sidebar.
Hope this explains it.

khomikoParticipantOh, I didn’t realize that I had to make a custom sidebar. I thought the one that shows in the widget area was all I needed after the code. Thanks a lot for looking into it. I greatly appreciate it 🙂

khomikoParticipantOh, I figured out the problem. The text widget works, but the woocommerce cart widget does not show.

Rue NelModeratorHello There,
Thanks for updating in! Please keep in mind that several WooCommerce widgets will not display on specific pages. A cart widget will not be displaying on the cart and check out page. To know more about these WooCommerce widgets, please check it here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-widgets/
Hope this explains it.

khomikoParticipantYeah, I figured. I just made a “back to cart” button and that will do just fine. Thanks for looking into it 🙂
