nyrngr94ParticipantI’ve researched in the forum and knowledgebase the activation sequence. We have a development site that is attached to a DNS ‘A’ record and is accessible via standard naming conventions on the web.
We updated the DEVELOPMENT site info for the active license we have. it shows a name like “http”//newco.abc.com” in the manage license page for the license in question – not an IP address. Again, DNS does resolve to that address perfectly well.
When we go into our WP-ADMIN area for X and enter the envato license key, we get the following message: “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and reassign within your Themeco account.”
I’ve tried deleting the development site in manage themes, and then re-assigning it to no avail. I get the same message every time.
We are running WP 4.6.1, using current version of X and Cornerstone, and have child-themes installed. We are trying to validate this in the child theme version on our site.
Please let me know how to get around this.
Thanks!

RupokMemberHi Stewve,
It seems used already on another site. Would you provide a screenshot of your license page of Themeco account in a private reply?
Thanks!

RupokMemberHi there,
Can you remove both production and development site and add them again? Let us know if that works.

nyrngr94ParticipantHi,
1. I deleted the production site (which killed the development site) in Manage Licenses.
2. I went back to the production site, and went into X and went to the bottom of the screen and clicked REVOKE LICENSE. It came back and said it was revoked.
3. I went back to Theme.co/manage licenses and re-assigned the production URL to the license key.
4. I went back to the production WordPress site and re-applied the license key since it correctly stated that X was not validated. It validated successfully.
5. I went back to theme.co/manage licenses and added the development URL to the license key
6. I went back to the development site, tried to apply the license key and it failed again with same message saying “Your code is valid but looks like it has already been used on another site. You can revoke and re-assign within your Themeco account.”Thanks for your help.

DarshanaModeratorHi there,
You’re using an older version of X theme & Cornerstone plugin. In-order to function our validation process correctly, you will need to update your X theme & Cornerstone plugin first. You can check the latest version numbers from here (https://community.theme.co/kb/version-compatibility/).
Also check our update guide here (https://community.theme.co/kb/updating-your-theme-and-plugins/).
Let us know how it goes.
