    Hello,
I would like to use Renew 7 as my starting point. I added the demo content, but the ‘header’ is missing – it was done in Revolution Slider. I understand that is “Expanded Content”, but have no idea how to access it. Essentially, I want a static image where Renew 7 demo has it’s ‘header’ with a clickable button like Renew 7 demo has (on the left – in green).

Alternatively, if I can’t have that, how can I “undo” the settings (forced sidebar) downloading the Renew 7 demo did so I can start over and add a header image?

    Thank you,
    Kelly-Renee

    Hi Kelly-Renee,

Yes, actual content is not available on standard demo content. You can get sample content. Feel free to create a slider using Revslider. To add button please check this guide:https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/buttons/. You may refer to their complete documentation here:https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/

    Hope this helps.

Sorry, that doesn’t help at all. I’ve been down that route already. I thought expanded content was supposed to come with purchase?

Anyway, trying to make a slider that is contained as a header and not not go “all over the place” – outside the container, not show the entire image, etc. has been pointless. Thanks anyways.

How can I “undo” the settings downloading the demo content made so I can start over? I tried to pick a different stack, but it remembers the demo content settings (sidebar right) and ignores any attempts to override.

    Thanks.

Your marketing copy DOES say that expanded content is included with purchase: “All Standard and Expanded demos are included with each X purchase.” https://theme.co/x/demos/

    Hi There,

We do have standard and expanded demo. See attached screenshot. When we install expanded demo, we can get all contents, pages and post. On the other hand, standard demo like Renew 7 will give just sample content. All demos create correct settings. There’s no one click button to undo the demo settings. Although we can help you achieve what you want. Just give us details and the link of your site. Also note that when you install X, default stack is integrity. So you might to install integrity 1. Just let us know the details and we’re happy to help.

Installing Renew 7 demo content did not make the “header” content show up at all. In Cornerstone, that row/section is completely missing, it starts with the 3 featured sample posts that are underneath the “header” section that you show in your demo: http://demo.theme.co/renew-7/ – Imagine what that page looks like with the “4 Designs in 1” section completely missing, that’s what I’m looking at.

I’m using ServerPress and I’m in Dev mode. How do I give you credentials to my site without making them public?
    Thanks,
    Kelly-Renee

    Hi there,

It says that all standard demo and expanded demo are included upon purchases, it’s, but there are two types of demos for a reason. And it doesn’t say that it will include the exact copy of contents from our demo pages.

    Please check this https://community.theme.co/kb/demo-content/

    Standard

The Standard demo content importer is based on our original demos and allows users to setup their site similar to the specified source.

This importer will set up the structural layout from the homepage of the demo selected with placeholder content, and will also update your Customizer settings as mentioned above. Additionally, you can choose to import example posts or portfolio items to see how various features can be utilized. If you select to import posts, a blog will be setup for you, and importing portfolio items will similarly setup a portfolio page for you. The importer also intelligently discerns which items you do and do not have present, so nothing will be mindlessly duplicated or repeated if you go through many demos, keeping your content as clean as possible. An example menu will also be set up for you depending on the options you have selected, making things easy to get to and check out. The importer is not destructive, meaning it will never touch any existing content you may have in your installation.

    Expanded

The Expanded demo content importer takes things quite a bit further, and is intended to provide you with a fully functioning, designed site with the click of a mouse!

Importing an Expanded demo will not only setup your homepage and Customizer settings for you, but it will also import all images used in the demo itself, all pages, posts, widget areas, menus, et cetera. Essentially, you will receive a completely finished site design, creatives and all with the click of a mouse! All this content is licensed to be freely distributed and can be used in your final designs, or you can choose to swap out content as you see fit. The setup for our Expanded demos is something that has never been done before in the industry, as it will literally copy every aspect of a completely realized design into your installation for use as you see fit!

Basically, the standard demo only contains the structures and placeholders and you’re the one that will add or change them. This is for users that wish to start in the middle. As changing a finished site is more complex and time-consuming. But this doesn’t mean it’s not included in the purchases, it’s but a different kind of demo structures.

While expanded demo is the demo with complete setup and content (finished) and it’s for user wish to start their site right away with just a few clicks changes.

The “4 Designs in 1” is part of a slider, and we can’t provide the sliders that are being displayed on our standard demos due to copyrights. Plus, the purpose of having two types of the demo is to have the different starting point for developers. Still, we’re here to help and we can provide recommendations and some tips so you could achieve what you wish to achieve as long as it’s related to X.

I’m not sure how ServerPress works, but you may contact them to see how it can be done.

    Thanks!

Wow. I’ve been using the X theme for a couple of years now. I own 2 licenses. I’ve always had great support until now – it’s one of the reasons I like the theme so much.

I expect when the marketing copy says, “demo content included” that I will be supplied with placeholders I can then manipulate on my own. Instead, you quote the “fine print” in the back of some guide book somewhere – kudos on finding that legalize jargon so quickly.

I’ve asked twice now how to “reset” the theme back to before I imported the demo content so I can start over, which was ignored. I literally wasted an entire day trying to resolve this issue on my own before I asked for help on this forum and I feel I’ve been given a ‘run-around’. This is not appreciated.

Thanks for all your ‘help’, I will go back to trying to figure it out on my own.

    Hi Kelly-Renee,

We’re sorry if you get offended. It is not our intention. We just need to explain. Again we’re sorry. On my previous reply I did says that there’s no one button click option to reset those settings. But then default stack is integrity and we will be happy to guide you instead on what you want to achieve. Do let us know how we can help you further.Thank you for understanding.
