    Dear all,

I tried to put a video in the background of a revolution slider above the masthead. The only thing I get is a black black screen.
After having read older post I tried the following:
    – made sure that the slider and slide backgrounds are transparent
    – deactivated all plugins (except of revolution slider and ubermenu)
    – emptied the cash
    – tried IE, Chrome and Firefox
    The page is
    http://tiebelquast.pics/skulptur/
    Any idea?
Thank you very much in advance for your kind support!

    Best wishes,

    Karsten

    Hi,

    just to be sure:
    http://tiebelquast.pics/skulptur/
is the page that does not work.
    http://tiebelquast.pics/
does not have a video background.

    Thanks,

    Karsten

    Hi Karsten,

Thank you for providing the credentials! It seems like you’re using an embed code instead of video URL. Try using URL of the video instead of embed code.

Let us know how this goes!

    Hi Nabeel,

please find attached a screenshot showing the section where I defined the video to be used. This is not embeded code, right? Why did you assume that I used embeded code?
    Sorry for my naivity…

    Best wishes,

    Karsten

    Hi there,

It’s embedded since you added it as youtube URL. A youtube URL is not a video URL, it links to youtube player. Please use video URL instead. The youtube/video format is not supported by all browsers, it only fully benefit google chrome, and firefox I think.

    Thanks!
