    Hey,

All of a sudden my wordpress admin panel is really laggy.

Is this a problem with the amount of css i have, or could this be due to server lag?

    Thank you.

    Hi There,

It is unlikely that your wordpress admin is slow due to CSS. It could be a memory issue on your server.

Would mind adding this in your wp-config.php located at the root directory of your site.

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
    define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );

You can add it before the line

/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy blogging. */

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

On what part exactly you are feeling you have a lag?

Upon Exploring your Wp Admin Dashboard it seems to function as expected.

    Let us know more details,

    Joao

If i go to the Abouts page, the page doesnt load at all and displays an option to kill the page.

I cannot seem to edit anything because it takes soo long to edit anything.

    Thank you.

    Hey there,

I checked your Abouts page and other pages but I didn’t experience the “kill the page” issue. Your site loads a bit slow though.

Since I don’t experience this on my test sites, I would try checking with your hosting provider on this particular issue as it sounds like something related to your setup is causing this. Typically, this is due server configuration problems (i.e. underpowered, traceroute issues, packet loss, permissions errors, et cetera). Additionally, your host will be able to diagnose things much better due to the fact that they have a more complete view of your account and can work behind the scenes with you. If the problem you are experiencing persists after working with your host, don’t hesitate to let us know and we will be happy to assist you. Any relevant information that you can share with us from your host is also greatly appreciated as it will help us to better ascertain the source of the problem.

    Thanks.

So the advise given for me from Bluehost was to optimise my account (which i did with mySQL optimise table).

They also increased the memory allocated to my server.

However, the problem still seems to persist.

The vc backend editor is loading but when I try to edit a text and save changes, it hangs and the page does not respond.

I was not having problems with this a day ago.

What could be the issue here?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Another support here. I tried to load your pages too and they seem to be working fine on my end. See screencast attached. Is there any changes you recently made before you observed the change on load page on your end? You could try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

    Hey,

I just want to clarify: I meant when I click on pages and try to edit the page using the VC backend editor.

The only change I’ve made was a windows 10 update.

    Thank you.

    Hello There,

I am another staff checking on this thread! Still I could not replicate the issue. I was able to edit your page in Frontend and backend editor. Please check out this screenshots:

I would recommend that you use Chrome or with Incognito mode and test your site again.
