guy_bParticipantHi,
This is easy to fix (for me anyway), but I find the message on the 404 template to be really unprofessional.
The page you are looking for is no longer here, or never existed in the first place (bummer).
Bummer? Seriously? BUMMER.
Why not change it to “crap”, or “oh sh*t”?
Most people probably don’t even check this kind of thing, but many people build sites that are serious in nature, and would be embarrassed if they knew this is the greeting given to their clients or customers when they got the wrong address by mistake.

guy_bParticipantI am simply pointing out that the default 404 template that X provides is not very professional looking.
Using the word “bummer” is not professional. It portrays a message that the site owner couldn’t care less.
If a site owner would like to have a lighthearted 404 message, then they can create their own. It shouldn’t be the decision of the Theme to add flippant wording that is hardcoded into the templates.
Imagine if you were a funeral services site, and someone was searching for a coffin for their mother who just died, but the search results come back with a message saying “bummer”.
Or an Estate Agent.
Looking for that house you saw still linked in the index? Can’t find it? Bummer.
Don’t know what I’m talking about? Bummer.
You can do whatever you like with this feedback, it’s just feedback, I don’t need anything else thanks.
